My Approach

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I enjoy working with adults, adolescents and couples. I welcome those into my practice coping with anxiety, depression, relationship issues and substance use.

My speciality is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Anxiety and Depression while also incorporating psychodynamic approaches to help understand how our past informs our present experiences. I incorporate Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, which highlights the importance of finding purpose in our lives, and taking behavioral steps that support our values. My goal as your therapist, is to assist you in taking the necessary steps to move towards these goals and aspirations in your life.

The basis of CBT is to become aware of how our thinking and belief systems can dictate our behavior, which can get in the way of our goals and creating meaningful relationships. I will begin to teach you new coping skills to help you change certain behaviors and thinking patterns that are unhelpful to you. Over time and with repetition, the hope is that your behavior will begin to shift, as you move closer to what is important to you in your life. These behavioral changes will support your continued effort to attain your goals and aspirations. I look forward to going on this journey with you!
